Overhauling a tired engine inevitably requires attention to the cylinder-head, valves and camshaft drive train. Also pay close attention to the valve guides, the most likely cause of a smoky exhaust, especially on start-up.
This component, and probably a fair few of the parts listed below maybe required for a fully satisfactory outcome. Remember, interfacing new parts with old can cause premature wear to those (possibly expensive) new parts!
