When rebuilding the transmission it would be wise to check, and if necessary replace any of the selector-drum and fork component that shows signs of abuse and/or wear.

Don't forget to order the gaskets, seals and even new fasteners (better than reusing the old ones?) required in one economical shipment. Try this pro-workshop gasket sealant, 08C70K0234M to complete the job like a professional.
