The obvious task to keep the air filtration up to full performance is renewal of the filter itself at the correct service interval, so much so obvious; however, other parts of the filter may suffer form age, vibration and temperature degradation, cracking and contamination.
A close examination of all the components that make up the assembly, and replacement of those parts that are deemed unsatisfactory, preferably with new fasteners, for no other reason that they look nicer than reusing the old corroded items, will help ensure the filter system gives optimal performance.

Far cheaper than here in the UK
reviewer: Steve Gillions
(5 Stars) - Monday, June 07, 2021 It's an OEM part so obviously fits just as well as the original on the bike and is the same high quality. The bonus is that it's literally 1/2 the price of what I could find it for here in the UK, even after postage and VAT. Really pleased.
