Replacing the old overworked exhaust and inlet valves when rebuilding the engine is a sensible precaution, the old valves become brittle and can break off around the valve head area, allowing what is left to drop onto the top of the piston causing untold and very expensive damage.
Renewing these Valve-Guides at the same time will help ensure the engine remains smoke free, especially on start up.

  • Please make sure that the parts you order are compatible with your model.

    I have been a CMSNL customer for a couple of years and there service is first class and the parts are quality parts. It is great that they have the passion for restoring old bikes and keeping as many parts going as possible for our old bikes. We are fortunate to be able to get the parts. It would have been great if the manufacturers who stopped making the parts could have come to an agreement to sell the machines, castings and designs to someone to keep making the parts as original.
