The CX 500 and Silver wing Clutch has a hard time, with a surprising amount of torque being delivered to the shaft drive via the Clutch. If you are experiencing judder, or worse slipping, then maybe just a complete Spring replacement could sort out the problem.
If however the friction discs have worn, or become distorted, then a complete overhaul will be required, replacing these springs as a matter of course.
