Suzuki GS650GL 1983 (USA) Forum

I don't want to spend 200 bucks on a new old school part that was good back then. I want to get an upgrade or upgrade what I have. I think the internals are stuck anyway. There is a motorcycle salvage yard not to far away and I would like know if I could bolt up a newer system. Like a newer Katana rear brake system or cbr r6!?!! I bough the bike for $400.00 wife is going to kill me if I drop 200 for the brakes.

I'm dissasimbling the brake system when the rain stops but I am not sure what to do in terms of better performance from this machine.

Real question!! what can I bolt up to make the back brakes work better. I live in Colorado I need good brakes front and rear. what newer machines share the same bolt paterns and disk sizes??
