Restoring a classic fuel tank can be more difficult than maybe first imagined, with years of stale petrol probably turned to a gunge like consistency (and smelling like old contaminated tractor sump oil) from 'varnishing' and blocking the system. One thing for sure, the more parts that can be replaced with new, the easier the job becomes, and with a more reliable and aesthetic outcome.

Renewing as many items involved in the fuel tank assembly as possible will make an odorous task far less odorous (in both senses of the word!). Add as many items as you wish to the same shopping cart, new anti-vibe fasteners, fuel lines and gaskets for example, and still only pay the same single fixed price shipping cost. Please note this item may have other applications in the Kawasaki model range.
