Application of reviewer: 1983 CB-650SC-D (USA)
This original, OEM Honda air filter is a MUST-HAVE spare for CB650SCs of this vintage! It goes without saying that the original Honda air filter was engineered for optimal engine air cleaning. In addition, the Keihin carburetors on these bikes require a specific amount of vacuum to work properly, and this air filter is the only one that Honda's engineers intended to be used (any other air filter may require a lengthy carburetor adjustment, which means downtime and possible re-jetting).
If you are the caretaker of one of these soon-to-be classic bikes, you owe it to yourself AND the bike to use only this filter. In addition, keep another on hand for the next service as these filters will undoubtedly be out of stock someday.
