Penultimate model in the MX series, and was designed and conceived to successfully compete in top class senior moto-cross in 1973/74. In this model a very good engine was let down by, even by the standards of the day, poor suspension and a weak rear brake. It really did not compete with other machinery at that time, and was soon replaced in 1975 with the MX400, with more torque and far better suspension, this model went on to great success, and still wins today in classic twin shock moto-cross
