Where as the *DT models were designed as dual purpose street biased trail bikes, the IT series were all out enduro machines, based very closely on the pure Motocross machinery of that period. The only difference been lights, and a motor re-tuned for more mid range torque at the expense of a lower specific BHP. This 125 model introduced in 1980 was one of many capacity variants the largest being 490cc.
This refers to the later road trail bikes, not the earlier pure motocross DT2 of 1972.
