Renewing the inlet and Exhaust VALVES when overhauling the cylinder head is desirable.
New ones will ensure a good seal, as long as the seat is reground. So with reliable Valve actuation engine performance will improve when compared to the old worn items.
You will require the inlet Valve as well: Check out this part but do make sure it is fully compatible with your model prior to placing your order:
