This pivot pin collar, lets face it has a good pasting over time. It is usually ignored until it seizes solid or is so worn through lack of greasing it rattles up and down in the fulcrum.

Renewal is the best way to sort out the problem, with a judicious amount of grease applied at the same time.

• Remove every six months or so, clean and reapply fresh grease, then it will last indefinitely.
