All fasteners involved with the engine assembly have considerable amounts of torque applied causing the threads to stretch slightly. This is normal, but does mean that it is far better to discard the old nuts and bolts and replace with new genuine Kawasaki parts. They not only look better they will torque up exactly the same as the originals.
