This part should be renewed when renewing the cap that locates the spring and of course the spring itself. Mixing old high wear parts with brand new unworn parts can lead to premature wear of those new parts.

• Be prepared - Make sure all your gaskets and seals requirements are covered
• Always use new parts in assemblies like this - Don't mix old with new
