The clutch plates take one hell of a beating, especially if the friction discs have worn down to the metal.

So if you are contemplating a clutch overhaul, examine the state of the plates, just in case they need replacement as well, and usually they do!

Don't forget to order your gaskets and seals at the same time. Re-using the old ones is not recommended!
