The Header Gasket is a once use only item. The soft metal construction means that it spreads in the exhaust port when the headers are tightened to the head, creating a perfect seal. This though only happens once. When the headers are removed, and refitted they have to have new gaskets.

• Gasket must be replaced when fitting the header pipe.
• Perhaps some new nuts and washers would be easier to fit.
