Replacing these studs when rebuilding the engine would be a sensible precaution. The old items will have stretched and be difficult to torque up properly.
We advise you to also renew the nuts that fit these studs. Mixing old possibly damaged or stretched threads with new will not help the situation.
- Avoid a mechanical disaster by replacing this bolt with a new OE part.
- Have you ordered all the gaskets and seals you will require too complete the overhaul?
