Introduced to replace the out going XR75 in 1979, the non street legal off road only replacement shared much in common with it’s predecessor. With a little more power and torque, the models popularity with younger riders who liked it’s user friendly four stroke engine, and easy handling chassis continued, giving it one of the longest production runs for this genre of Honda being made up until 2003, a 24 year run, not bad for a machine that in most countries cannot be legally ridden on the highway!
