We cannot over stress the importance of using new correct specification fasteners when rebuilding any Japanese motorcycle.

The very structure and strength of the assembly is dependent on this bolt and being perfectly tightened with the correct torque. The captive washer and spring washer retained on this bolt have to be undamaged, or the old bolt may be effectively useless.

• Always renew these bolts for ease of use and because they look better than old rusty items.
• Use the correct specification fasteners for the best results!
