VF700F INTERCEPTOR 1984 (E) USA CALIFORNIA

Introduced in 1984, this custom cruiser utilised the superb double overhead camshaft V-4 engine, it’s 699cc delivering a whopping, by cruiser standards of the day, 82bhp and similarly impressive torque with ultra smooth counterbalanced power.

This 700cc machine was simply the VF750 reduced, to counter the USA ban on motorcycles of 750cc, bought about by powerful lobbying from Harley Davidson. 

Styling of these early cruisers was a little awkward to say the least, but their superb build quality and user friendly handling won them over a new customer base, that by and large remained loyal to Honda’s take on what a custom cruiser should deliver, and Honda’s latest cruisers repay that loyalty with dividends!
