The SL175KO was replaced in 1973 by the K12 model, this itself superseded by the XL70, a similar machine, in 1974.
Power was 5bhp for the 47mm x 41.4mm bore and stroke overhead camshaft engine.
Barrel was aluminium for weight saving. For the USA market the silencer had to have a spark arrester-an absolute necessity for riding in wooded areas, and was a legal obligation.
As usual with off-road Honda’s, considerable interest is evident by enthusiasts and collectors of vintage Honda’s, and in North America well restored models change hands for surprising sums of $Dollars!
