Rebuilding and restoring the complete front fork assembly is easier and less expensive when new parts are used. This fork Rib is a prime example! Trying to restore and re-chrome the old part will cost many times more both in pure costs and time spent.
While these are still available there seems little point in trying to fix the old parts!
