This Plate, positioned as it is, will probably need renewing, especially if you are restoring the Footrest assembly area.

Mixing new and old corroded parts never really works aesthetically.

• TIP: Apply grease when inserting the pivot bolts and then every 6 months or so, take it out and clean them before re-applying fresh grease.
