Replacement for the MB50, this water-cooled, two stroke combined all the styling tweakes of the larger capacity Honda’s of that time. For customers in those countries lucky enough not to have the de-restricted versions, these were surprisingly zippy refined machines, aimed unashamedly at youngsters looking to purchase their first bike, or more likely their parents making that payment!
So despite Honda’s initial reluctance to embrace two stroke technology, this the predecessor to the super NSR50 was the right bike at the right time.
