If your breather tube is starting to look a little tired, both from UV damage, and general wear and tear, treat your pride and joy to a new one! The tank has to be correctly ventilated, or a vacuum will build up, and starve your carburetor of fuel. It is only a simple thing, but you would be surprised at how many motorcycles have stopped running because of poor or non-existent tank breathing.
