CR80R 1997 (V) CANADA / CMF

First launched in 1980 as the CR80 Elsinore, the machine became an instant hit with young novice riders in the ever more popular Junior Moto-Cross scene. Competition from Yamaha was fierce, but thre CR80 just kept evolving into a better and better machine over the years and still today is right up their with the best.

Honda like Yamaha know the importance of selling motorcycles to young competitors, as by their reasoning, are more likely to stay loyal to one make as they progress through the ranks, gaining confidence in one make of machine makes the customer less likely to switch makes, and that is as true today as back then when the first CR80 was announced.
