Known as the CA72 Dream Touring 250 in the North American market to which it was primarily aimed, was launched in 1962, with power up from the 20bhp of the outgoing model to 23bhp @ 8500rpm. This model went on to repeat the success of the earlier ‘Dreams’ attracting a new genre of motorcycle riders, and in sunny California at least was now deemed to be cool, where the ‘beautiful’ people could stay that way, with no unsightly oil stains, or dirty finger nails after carrying out road side repairs like the greasy traditional motorcyclist who rode Harley Davidson’s or inherently unreliable and rather noisy British made equipment!
