During the course of an engine overhaul, or just a cam chain replacement, please check the exhaust and EXHAUST VALVES carefully, they take a lot of punishment and become brittle over time. If you have any doubts, replacement can often be more cost effective than allowing a worn item to compromise the new assembly.

• It is good policy to replace the valve springs, collets and valve stem seals at the same time.

• Ensure you renew Valve stem seals and valve springs at the same time.
