The ZR50 was a custom 50cc ‘Moped’ (some markets actually demanded pedals!) to take advantage of the learner legal status of 50cc motorcycles that prevailed in Europe then, and of course still prevails now.
The 89kg two-stroke gave various power out-puts depending on local laws, as high as 6hp in some cases, and as low as just 1.5hp in others! The styling was very much like the GS series of machines at that time, with attractive cast wheels being their quintessential style statement.
