The ever more popular 125 moto-cross series received a boost when Yamaha launched this model in 1975 with a chassis and engine developments closely based on the previous seasons works machinery. However this was a very competitive class, and was well supported by both Suzuki and Honda, as well as the top European manufacturers keeping the Yamaha riders very honest!
