When metal impacts metal that is bad enough, but when the steel chain cutting through the relatively soft alloy of the swing-arm happens it will make your eyes water (well the repair costs will anyway!) Prevention being better than cure dictates this rubber wear item should be renewed regularly as soon as it shows signs of damage - preferably with this top quality OE part.

• Renew regularly to save metal to metal contact.
• Check the other rubber protective parts for damage - renew if in doubt.
