This machine with it’s reed valve induction and 66mm x 50mm bore & stroke used the aluminium fabricated swing arm of the purpose built Motocross machinery from Yamaha, and with it’s much longer travel, a whopping 10.6 inches (270mm) , matched exactly by the front forks, made a pretty big impact in the world of competitive enduro riding when launched in 1982.
