Yamaha YR2 information

Just as fast as the outgoing YR1, the YR2, launched in 1968, had a much more competent chassis, and was available both in ‘Street’ and Street Scrambler’(YR2C) the latter with high rise pipes, but not really a serious of road machine, it just looked nice! The vibration from the earlier model had also been dramatically reduced. The styling was more cutting edge, and the build quality and finish excellent. The 36bhp @7500rpm also did not go amiss, making this machine extremely competitive with much larger four stroke machinery, leaving most 500 and 650 twins in a trail of two stroke haze!
