The middle-gear and rear-axle assembly takes the brunt of the torque from gearbox to the drive shaft and, ideally, should be inspected and overhauled at the same time as the drive-shaft itself.

Reniflard du couple conique arriere du xs 1100 yamaha des années 1978 jusqu'au années 79/80/81/82 / 83 /

Voilà il s'agit d'un reniflard d'origine neuf parfaitement conforme au reniflard monté sur le couple arrière de la moto d'origine . Alors pour être parfaitement clair net et précis ce reniflard est exempt de défauts . Donc parfait . Pour procéder au remplacement du vieux reniflard c'est très simple . Il faut évidemment que le couple conique arrière soit en cour de restauration donc avec le carter complètement vidé . une fois le carter nettoyé donc propre et repeint par exemple . Procéder comme suit , prendre un décapeur thermique et CHAUFFER l'orifice donc le trou et présenter le reniflard en vis à vis du trou et le pousser à fond en tapant dessus avec évidemment un maillet en Caoutchouc ou intercaler un chiffon plié en 4 pour ne pas endommager le reniflard Neuf puis taper avec un marteau.

I had to chill the new breather in the freezer and warm the rear drive housing with a hair dryer. Then the new breather could be tapped gently into place.
