Very fine chrome, very straight and nicely welded (almost too fine compared to the Takasago originally mounted on my bike). Unfortunately, in my opinion, it has a not so pretty stamp on the rim side (see second pic).

Backfire suggests to early ignition, you should check a manual, which is essential to work on this..

I've set the points timing as I think they're supposed to be. No valves on this 2 stroke.
