Launched in 1992 to replace the XT200, the new mono-shock rear suspension replacing the mono-cross and the extra power and torque from the slightly larger engine simply made the best better!
These bikes have been used all over the World and are a paragon of simplicity and reliability, with simple single overhead cam two valve heads, allowing easy maintenance. Still selling well today, as the 2008 model has kept to the design principles of the original, with sensible updates ensuring the XT remains a user friendly trail machine for novices and experts alike.
