If you are already contemplating replacing the friction discs, then you might as well fit new plates and springs as well. You will then be confident that you have done the best possible job, and your Clutch will be as smooth and reliable as it was when new.
Fitting this component will just be one less item to be of concern when the overhaul is complete. The more parts renewed the better the clutch will perform.
