Performance bikes are frequently ridden hard, but usually maintained well - the cooling system is of paramount importance for reliability, if the radiator and the ancillary parts have become scaled up with lime and other contamination they will not be giving their best, and whilst flushing can improve matters, it may be better to fit a new radiator, thermostat and hoses - and ensure the coolant used is of the recommended type at all times.
