The trick is to find the recommended Ohm-value between the 2 poles. I still have 2 heaters that need to be replaced because their Ohm-values have become different over time. Also, you have a dissipation over the wires that you have to subtract from the values. You can find more details online, Youtube etc. Sure, you could test them with your fingers or in water but that is not a precise method. I will replace those 2 others after the summer, because it is not urgent right now. And damned : you take out your quadruple carb set and one heater cracks off because you were not careful. Fortunately it was an old and worn out one!
