Suzuki RM85 information
Replacing the long running RM80, the RM85 was launched in 2002. The engine was only a little more powerful, but by now two-stroke tuning had reached its zenith, with plenty of performance available from low revs and right throughout the power-band.
The front and rear disc brakes combined with superb progressive suspension ensured competition success and healthy sales in this important entry-level market.
The frame was the latest aluminium cradle type, and the 14” wheels could be replaced with larger items. From 2003 the RM85L model came with larger wheels as standard
