This important part in your ignition system carries out one basic task, providing correct timing for the current to reach the spark-plug via the ignition coil. If this is not working correctly or is worn out - and they frequently are - then renewal is the best option. Replacing this BREAKER Plate at the same time would not do any harm either!

Replacing this part would normally be carried out during the course of spark-plug renewal.
