Hi

someone tried to steel my gsxr1000 and broke the ignition barrel off the top yoke.

my mechanic says I only need to get a new barrel and he can fit the lock set into it rather than have to buy a whole ignition system and ecu ??

It looks like you need to buy the whole lock assembly with keys to get the barrel and can't buy the barrel only ? but can decouple the ignition bit from the barrel to reuse.

is that about right ?
