Renewing the complete exhaust on a Japanese classic machine is always going to be expensive - the manufacturers pegs the price high. But, if you want a good original appearance, with the performance unimpaired or with an after market item causing all kinds of carburettor jetting problems, in itself that could prove expensive, then replacing with an original system, or at least as much as possible of the original system, is the sensible course of action.
A bonus for this is also of course is a higher residual value when (or if?) you decide to sell the machine.
