When overhauling the transmission, replacing as many of the wear-prone items as possible will yield a more reliable and durable result with a slicker shifting quieter running assembly.
Many of the gearbox components are becoming more difficult to source due to the age of the model they fit. Few parts, if any, are being made at the factory. So, if you are due a gearbox overhaul consider ordering the parts you need sooner rather than later?
