The inside diameter of my wheel hub for the bearing is 42mm. Is that the diameter of your bearing?

No, if the code is 6202 it's outside diameter is 35mm and inside is 15mm.
The right code for your bearing should be 6303, which outside diameter is 42 and inside is 15mm. The R stands for Rubber seal, and a single R means seal on one side.
