TX750 1973 USA

info

Introduced in 1972, this machine hoped to continue where the 650 left off, and it did!

The result was the TX750 which had a lot of innovative features, like the Omni-Phase balance system, a Positive Crankcase Ventilation system, where fumes were re-directed to the air-filter, a system that has become common on most engines made today.

The TX750 was also the first machine with valve seats made for use with lead-free petrol, and was also fitted as standard with light-alloy wheel rims and a double front disc brake for the European Market.

A reasonable success in the USA and Europe, but it has to be said that the same year Kawasaki launched the Z900, and for similar money, helping to dampen what otherwise may have been a commercial success.
