Announced by Honda in 1959 this 305cc dry sump twin had the upswept ‘street Scrambler’ style exhaust and higher ride handle bars. This was another success story for Honda in north America where these 350’s sold very well indeed, helped by electric start and unlike the competition from British manufacturers did not leak oil over the riders light beige Chinos! Honda had looked closely at the NSU companies products before embarking on a similar design with single overhead camshaft and twin cylinders, the engine acting as a stressed member in the pressed steel pine type frame. # It came in one of four colours: White, Black, Blue, or Scarlet Red # The engine was a 23bhp @ 7500rpm OHC dry sump (seperate oil tank) parallel twin with a single carburettor and transmission was four speed.
