info

A huge sales success from the day it was launched in 1985 to replace the popular XR500, on which it was based.

The engine displaced 591cc from it’s radial four valve head, with a single overhead camshaft arrangement, and with a bore & stroke of 97mm x 80mm produced 45bhp @ 6500rpm in the model’s running from 1985 to 1987.

The suspension was the well-tried Pro Link single shock, with adjustable for both pre-load and rebound. Front forks were 43mm with conventional cartridge valve damping.

The model bowed out in the year 2000 to be replaced with the liquid cooled 650cc model.
The Honda XR600R is a very popular offroad motorcycle with an air-cooled single cylinder, four-stroke engine. Honda manufactured the bike from 1985 to 2000.
