Introduced in 1969, although the similar CL65 Japan market only was launched a year earlier, this delightfully pretty model was the “Scrambler” version with high line exhaust and braced handle bar.
The CL70 was almost exactly the same as the CL50, but with 6.5bhp @ 9500rpm was a better prospect for road use, being more able to keep up with traffic flow.
Small styling changes over the models life took the edge off those early models looks, but still held in high esteem by Honda enthusiasts and collectors, particularly in the USA.
