Although having the outward appearance of the VTX1800, the VTX1300 weighs considerably less, and because of this makes a better all round package.
It still keeps the now traditional 52 degree V-twin single overhead cam three valve layout displacing 1312cc from its 89.5mm x 104.3mm bore and stroke. Transmission is through a five speed box and shaft drive.
The counter balanced shafts smooth out the vibration, but still allow the classic V-twin sound to dominate! The VTX1300 is generally considered a better all round bet then the VTX1800.
